A note to you darling...

I spent the last couple of days looking through old photographs of us together... Its almost 10 years now, sharing this life with you as a friend, as a companion, as my soulmate. Today, you turn 27. I hope you will always love life... every bit of it. And live through it cherishing everyone and everything...every blessing, ups and downs.
A picture of us, taken in Mauritius during our honeymoon...
I give my heart with certainty, whole heartedly... I love you...

The end and the beginning.

Welcome back... I was so lucky to have squeezed in time to get these boxes across the border, 2 months ago. They are precious... my husband who loves fishing likes to keep his bits and pieces of fishing stuff in the room... and so I decided these would be a good way to fix that... and beautiful too!
This wall is growing in size from all the fun snapshots of our married life together. Polaroid is a wonderful thing to have! I hope to start scrapbooking again... and maybe make an album just for these polaroids.
I have finally finished my studies and my teaching practicum! Alhamdullilah. So blessed for that. My husband suprised me with this fabric bunting as a gift... upon completing my course! All the way from Ireland. I love the pink and green hues... and roses... just the perfect bits.
School is over... and work is coming to a stop in a few weeks with the June holiday break around the corner. There is alot to celebrate about. I think the fact that WE ARE LIVING... we should always celebrate Life!

Bits and pieces 2

In my attempt to build a home...

I have found some really wonderful websites to find some furnishings with that vintage feel... its at Second Charm and Like That One... please visit them...

I realise a Home is not just about having a place to rest your weary heart

It's a place you got to fill with love

It takes a helping hand and initiative

It takes memories

And a little cooking maybe? :)

Tell me what's your Home about?

Bits and pieces....

I think bits and pieces really makes a Home. And its the little details that can create an aura about a space...
I love this chandelier from my uncle... it was a gift for the wedding and it in fact have been with him for many many years... I love the soft repose of the light in the evening... it makes it all dreamy...
the pillows- a mix of rustic and shabby chic...
I thought I'd soften the window curtains with some paper roses...

I really like this website... http://katiesrosecottagedesigns.com/
Go visit... I'm in love already...

White dresser...

I have always been inspired by country, flea market magazines... I love blogs that feature vintage inspired furniture and rooms... so now that Im going to move into my new bedroom, towards the next phase in life... I am venturing out into this whole vintage flea market shabby chic country feel... and I am really enjoying it...

I never thought this was possible. But I went ahead anyway... This project of getting the dresser vintage-fied started in June...with all the sanding, and painting and sanding again... It was alot of hardwork..
.

And I think finishing off with a crystal glass knob... adds such a vintage touch to it.

Hope you enjoyed that!
